New Faces onboard!!

How the HV staff are shaping up this year:
By Kirsty Brailsford
There are some new faces in the Hallam Volunteering office this year, and also some familiar faces in new places! Amongst those newbies are Beth Blois, Kanyekanye Volunteering Co-ordinator for this year. Beth hopes to bring new, fresh ideas on how to develop Hallam Volunteering. She says “Hallam Volunteering is important for students to develop a whole host of new skills, meet new people and invest into the local community.”
Celia Davis is one of this year’s Graduate Trainee Volunteer Co-ordinators. Celia says she loves being involved in so many great projects, and is proud to be part of an organisation that offers great opportunities for students to get to know more of Sheffield and its great people!
Our Project Volunteer Co-ordinator for this year is Val Roberts, who has the mammoth task of supporting the Committee, and the working groups which are the Publicity Team, the Fundraising Team, the Equal Opportunities Team and the Socials and Communications Team. Although Val has not been involved in Hallam Volunteering before, she has had loads of experience volunteering for different organisations, so it will be interesting to find out what exciting things she’s bound to bring to Hallam Volunteering!
Emily Burns worked as a volunteer throughout her three years at Sheffield Hallam and is now a Graduate Trainee Volunteer Co-ordinator. She says she loves how Hallam Volunteering brings out the best in people, and hopes she can help this year’s volunteers have the great time she had when she was a volunteer, saying “The buzz that Hallam Volunteering provides for students is amazing and shouldn’t be missed by anyone!”
All in all it sounds like we have a dedicated and passionate team of staff this year, so it should be one of the best ever!
